The local programs supported are: 

• SCOPE: Suicide Coalition on Prevention & Education

• CAPS: Campus Awareness Prevention of Suicide/Alexandria Tech College

• Eagles Healing Nest-Mental Health Programs for Veterans

The foundation provides outreach community education and referral services for Suicide Prevention.

 

The Matthew Kjelland Memorial Golf Tournament provides scholarship opportunities to a senior that is planning on attending a 2 or four-year college to pursue a career in the health & wellness fields.  All additional proceeds will be used to fulfill the Foundation's Mission of supporting Suicide Awareness and Prevention/Mental Health Programs in Alexandria and surrounding areas.
